I may not believe in "retail therapy" or in buying stuff one doesn't necessarily need, but I do know the value of a 40% off any item at Borders coupon. I went and bought an I Ching set with yarrow sticks (saved $16) so I theoretically could offer traditional yarrow I Ching readings on www.taliastarot.com -- definitely it seems that if I were to do in-person readings, yarrow would make a better visual for the client.
Next day I used my dad's copy of the coupon, and bought the book "Eros, Magic and the Renaissance" and saved $9. Apparently the guy who wrote that book got murdered after making a phone call to someone in Columbia.
Now all that does mean I spent $40, but at least I got a couple interesting items I might not otherwie have been able to buy.
