A few months ago I came on one of those Law of Attraction type books, though this one didn't seem as stupid as a lot of them. It was called "Wells of Abundance." I ended buying a copy, and have read it here and there. One of the things it advises doing is tithing -- and it suggests that if you don't really go to a church or something, to try to give to institutions of whatever type that are helpful to you or which "provide" for you in any kind of sense.
Since I've been having a pretty good week at the Tarot business I decided to try to apply this. First person I gave to was Cat Yronwode, for maintaining the Lucky Mojo site which is full of free information about hoodoo and which has ultimately been very helpful to me.
Now I'm thinking I should buy some stuff from Amazon because that's where my books are sold from. There's a book called "The Well Fed Self Publisher" that seems a good investment, and if I buy something else with it I can probably get free shipping. Part of me wants to just splurge it on "The Thames Torso Murders" but that's a pricy one to buy at random -- I'm not doing *that* well. Leaning a little towards "Silence" by Heldris de Corualle or "Medieval Furniture" which are both books I've wanted a while and which are both suitably educational. But I'm also contemplating the possibility of trying to buy a Createspace book from one of my fellow self-publishers -- the only issue there is finding something I want.
I probably ought to give some money to Warehouse 21 as well.
