Looks like Im probably going to be moving -- once again the family couldn't pay the rent here and I think the landlord's are sick of it, as well as we on our end coming to the final realization that things are just not going to improve and this crap's going to go on forever. So... don't know yet just where we are moving to,...

Damn. That does truly suck.
waldo_jeffers:
Best of luck with finding a new place to live.
So weird to be in a position where you have a sex life to talk about. Met with a mutual friend of myself and of the villain who couldn't be bothered to call before moving to a new country, and did relay details of our personal encounters. She giggled and said, "He'd be so mad right now if he knew we were talking about this!"...

Yikes. No fury like, indeed.

Never have discussed details post mortem. Or pro mortuus either for all that.
Well, I believe that the son of a bitch has about 3 or 4 hours to go before departing the country, and has not spoken to me in a week.

The gallows? The garrotting pole?
grayness:
Grrrrr.
And you are even less to be trifled with.
And you are even less to be trifled with.
So much for "no pressure" -- it just seems to be wholly against my nature to take a relationship lightly.
grayness:
If the pressure can't be avoided... then much luck is wished, needed or not.
tireoghain:
I find it hard to take most relationships seriously these days.
Sucks being this jaded.

Holy shit. I seem to have ended up with some kind of three week boyfriend. (He is about to leave for Dublin to go to college for 4 years.) But a punk rocker Old English speaker seems to have been a bit too much for me to resist. And I suppose, given my awful history of love, that a relationship with no hope of really...

Good for you, I say.

My God, I am so unhappy. So I think I posted before about this, but if not, I summarize: I'm on the Board of Directors and the Grounds Committee for a graveyard, it's all volunteer work, no pay or glory from it. The graveyard has a really awful caretaker, over whom I was put in charge of "supervising." However, this duty includes no actual ability...

No shit. They should can this dynamic duo!
knavish:
This sounds like it could become an episode of "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" You could haunt the groundskeepers with a series of ethereal ghosts and scare them into doing the job correctly. And no meddling kids would be around to uncover your fiendish plot!
Ever dreamed of having your own painted oil portrait?
Well, folks, I'm giving you the chance to live the dream!
I am able to paint oil portraits. I also, currently, have a spare 8 x 10 inch canvas. So, for the low price $60 I am willing to paint up a portrait for you and ship it out (yes, the price includes US shipping --...

I dreamed that I was trapped in an oil painting once.
It was off the Rider/Waite Lovers card. Hands down the most disturbing dream I have ever had.
I'm actually convinced it wasn't 'just a dream'. Heavy stuff.

Well, finally the Grounds Committee wrote a letter to the caretaker that we all agreed was suitable (well, I wrote it, but using the decided upon instructions) and... still no one liked it! Finally the Association President just went out and talked to the guy (which I'd have voted on if anyone had just offered that as an option, jeez.)
Anyway, new task: figure out...

I wonder if you could do some under ground meshing that goes about 6 feet deep or whatever depths they go under, then go up about a foot high?
Why can't I get myself to do something useful? I have like 10 different things that need to be done; yet instead I'm wasting the evening taking pictures of corpses from rotten.com and then running them through a paint palette generator and then going to Behr.com and painting the sample rooms in corpse colors, and then posting about it on SG.

Maybe you should try setting yourself small achievable goals and rewarding yourself each time you achieve a goal. For example, clean the bathroom then reward youself with 20 minutes of corpse pictures.
See, its just like Mary Poppins once sang, "A spoonful of embalming fluid makes the medicine go down".

FRIEND: Do you have any tattoos?
ME: No.
FRIEND: Come to think of it, that's a silly question. You don't like to have even a single freckle!
ME: I suppose I could just tattoo myself white and not have to worry about it anymore.
Yep, so on my trip (or maybe just a bit before the trip) I seem to have ended up too long...

Isn't it a bit extreme to apply acids to your skin? Wont the effects of sun exposure fade with time?

Looks like you had a fun time!
Things I did on my recent vacation:
Went to an East Indian wedding
Saw the Star Wars Christmas Special
Took (and did not win) the ghost-pepper chicken wings challenge at Bulldog's in Wauconda IL
Saw Gainsboroughs, Bouchers, Cranachs, Bouguereaus, Goyas and El Grecos at the Art Institute of Chicago
Saw mummies at the Field Museum
Bought a fine leatherbound edition of Vesalius
Saw "Vesalius Live"...

Were you as disappointed with the Christmas Special and Absinth as I was?
aristophanes:
Absthine was a disappointment; the Christmas Special I enjoyed, but then I kind of knew what to expect of it.
