Ok, so I had blog failure, so I'm going to try and do this again.
I graduated Friday, and it was not very fun. Hot and sweaty and I felt ridiculous in my cap and gown. The cap made my ears stick out. I thought that I would have some sense of pride or SOMETHING at SOME point throughout the ceremony, but all I had was a very anxious urge to get the fuck out of there. It's very annoying knowing that you should be acknowledged for being second in the class, but can't because of the stupid no class rank policy.
I only received $70 for graduation. $50 from my boyfriend's parents, and $20 from my second cousin. My aunt was nice enough to send me an EMPTY CARD! They are fucking rich and my mother and I sent my cousin $50 two years ago when she graduated. The only family I have doens't care enough to send me a little money. I work my ass off, and I get much less than some people who barely graduated. I'm not bitter... ok, yes I am.
And to make matters worse, when I went to my best friend's graduation party. she received a huge stack of cards, and when she had finished opening them, she had at least $600, plus she gets a fancy new laptop. *Sigh*
But at least I have this...
And that's all that really matters I suppose.
Mark and Will are getting very closing to buying the building for their gaming cafe/apartment. The contracts supposed to be drawn up tomorrow. The only problem is that the guy they are buying the building from is kind of an ass and very incompetent when it comes to business. He's also very fickle, which is frustrating. And apparently doesn't want to actually go to the lawyer's office with Will to get the contract drawn up! WTF?!! So hopefully there won't be too many complications.
Mark's parents are so crazy that they won't let him be a business partner, he's only allowed to be an employee, so he's a business partner in secret. (He knows the most about computers and has to best ideas.) That's my boy! I'm really proud of him for being a business owner at the age of 19! How cool is that! I really hope it goes well. I'm going to be helping out with food (mostly baked goods) this summer before I go to college.
So if you live in Southern Virginia, or are in North Carolina, but very close to the Virginia border, you should come check it out! I should be completely set up by the beginning of July! Yay!!!
So even when I'm not working, I'll still be working.
