After hours of wading through the web of administrative red tape, I'm set to go on classes again. This time around I'm actually looking forward to some of my courses too.
My Special Topics course has ended-up being on Adobe After Effects 5.0 and Photoshop 7.0. I've been keen to learn more of both for some time now, so this should be a great oppotunity.
Professor Goshgarian is teaching the Fiction:Horror course and I've been looking to take something with him for a while. As an actual novelist, if I can convince him to be my advisor on next semester's indepenent study (developing my novella), that would be exceedingly wicked. Needlesstosay, fingers are crossed.
I still haven't the slightest clue what my senior seminar entails. There, Monday will be telling. I'm hopeful though.
Oh, and I discovered why I couldn't get into Crisis Comm & Img Mgt... The course allows for thirty students, but the College of Arts & Sciences --in yet another display of ineptitude-- assigned the class to a room that only seats twenty-five. I'll have to sit on the floor Friday and petition the professor to let me stay there. How cute.
Overall I'm just praying that the universe doesn't seek to test my patience again. I'm so fucking sick and tired of the bureaucratic bullshit I could die. If I hadn't already spend a bajillion dollars on the piece of paper I'm slated to receive in May, I would've already walked away. Instead, I've resolved to throw myself at my writing projects in hopes they'll get me through the days. I'm no longer getting an English minor for my efforts though, but that's a story for another entry.
BTW: Mercurial has had its print date pushed back. The new target is Halloween. Please bear with me on this.
BTW II: I'll be in Chicago this week from the 9th thru the 12th - for anyone who's interested.
BTW III: Though this is some time off, I'll post it here while I remember: I will likely be in the Seattle area from November 11-14. While a friendly visit only, it will be my first to the west coast (outside of LAX). I'm very much looking forward to it.
BTW IV: I finally found a picture of my tattoo online. It's now under my pics section for your viewing pleasure.

Zack is so fucking awesome. Your tattoo looks great. When I brought my picture in all of the other guys said, "Oh, I'm glad I'm not doing that one." Zack said he thought the challenge would make him a better artist, and that's why I'm going to keep giving that kid my money any time I need more ink.
