1. Had the pleasure of catching up with an old Uni pal. He's artsy, weird, short, skinny, super awkward and fully awesome. We hung out at his art studio and drank tea. He cares for his Grandmother, who has lung cancer. Both my parents have health issues. We bonded over pain.
2. Sympathy is not my strong suit. I wish it was. Sympathy comes naturally to some people. I never manage to sound genuine. When someone's in pain, I try to think what I can do to alleviate that pain. If there's nothing I can do, I try words of kindness, but they never really sound or feel sincere. I just feel sad.
3. I took a drama class tonight. It was nice. I love drama, and I LOVE Shakespeare. Trying to decide on a monologue is tricky. Our teacher recommended I play Portia, but I find myself drawn to Mark Antony's oration over Caesar. I think I will end up doing Portia, as she seems to want us to stick to our natural gender (unfortunately)...
4. I got a lot of work done today, and I want to get more out of the way so I can get on with the good things in life. Like baking meringues. And seeing my man! man! meringues! meringues! man! So much to look forward to, yet so much work to plough through.
*I have been hunching a lot lately. Gotta start standing up straight*
