Ah yes, I came on to my computer to work on my paper, and yet somehow, I find myself here...funny how that happens, eh?
Thanksgiving was lovely, all in all, and my family behaved themselves in regards to Alex. Though his comment about the amount of wine on the table was received with amusement - hey, they're Italian, what do you expect? My desserts were a rousing success, and though the pumpkin cheesecake won the race at the table, I got to take the rest of MY favourite (the raspberry rhubarb pie) home...so, really, it's a lovely situation.
As for right now, I'm working on my paper - specifically, a short (read: 6 page) paper for my American history seminar, on the topic of 'the native as an intruder in the idea of the American west lands of freedom and opportunity'. Joy joy jpy. I'm only on the intro, and I haven't finished the readings. Woohoo! I'm gonna sing the doom song now...
...and back. Funny, now that Thanksgiving's past, I'm looking at Halloween - and the fact that I have no costume and no plans! The costume plan is the 'Devil's Advocate', but I can't find a suit jacket that fits in the...desired way. Plus, they're all ridiculously expensive. But I shall keep looking. If nothing else, I've got a kilt and cardigan in my closet, I'm sure I can come up with something (dead schoolgirl maybe?). I've got sketches for both ideas, so maybe I'll run them past people, get some opinions. In the meantime, I'll keep pricing things out. Oh yeah, and I suppose I should figure out somewhere to go, eh?
Alright, alright, back to the paper, if I feel like finishing in a reasonable amount of time. Wish me all the luck you've got to spare!
Cheers, over and out.
p.s. Where the hell is my camera?!?!
