So so so....a new week.
Ok...so...news. I start a new job tomorrow. I was keeping it so on the DL that I forgot to mention it anywhere to anyone. I'm excited. Its me and the owner of the company most days, luckily she seems very nice. I'll be selling various nifty things to other companies to sell. She doesn't distribute to the general public, so I'll be talking to other stores, which is fine by me. I'll be working in the city until October, then a short 10 minute commute to south Jersey. That normally would be a bummer...but NO WAGE TAX!!! Woohoo! Sure i'll have to pay a $3 toll everyday, but I'll be saving money in the long run!
I spent this week buying lots of crap that I've wanted to buy for the past three months. Sure, its not smart to spend money until its firmly in your pocket....but hey...once I start working I probably won't have time to daydream over eye shadow all day long.
Yesterday was spent drinking around this fine city with my hubbie and a friend. I had the most delicious gnocchi ever.....it would have made Jesus cry...seriously! I don't care how dorky I am....I love spending time with my husband. He's the coolest boy I know.
And speaking of which...tomorrow is our 6 year anniversary (not wedding, that's a different day)....he's had to deal with my stupid face everyday for 6 years. God bless him for that.
Apocalypse_dude...you rock! Forever and ever!
Today I'm going to knit in a public place and then who knows. I want to spend sometime outside with trees. For some reason the city is driving me slightly batty. I'm so sick of Philadelphia...I want to visit the country...or a big honkin park...or an apple orchard....god...anywhere would be a nice change of pace!!!!! Its much too nice out to look at big concrete buildings..
Update after my first day of work!
Eek...work....eek!!!!!
oh...and I broke down and did something geeky....I started an "official" blog. God I'm lame!

One bad thing though...unless you actually file your taxes outside of the city of Philadelphia (as in claiming residence at your Dad's or in-laws house), you have to pay City Wage Taxes. That's even if the job lies outside of the city/state. Being a resident of the City/County of Philadelphia, employers are required to take out the 4 percent no matter where the job is.
Now the GOOD thing...by working in South Jersey, you won't have to pay PENNSYLVANIA state tax. It's supposed to be reciprical between the two states (nj/pa). And most of the time, employers dont take out the state tax at all from the originating state. How about them apples?
My employed has accused me of being unprofessional, unreliable and I'm not to be trusted.
Good luck with your new job!
