went home for the weekend to relax with the family. i just needed to get the hell out of athens for a while. it was pretty helpful i think.
this past week was finals week (for first summer session), so i was pretty busy, and didn't have a lot of time to work on my art projects. but i was able to finish one sketch of my friend ian, and start on a few other sketches. this week will be pretty open for me, so i should be able to get all of my requested sketches finished for all of you to gander at (i love the word "gander"). you can look at the stuff i've made in my pics section, under the folder "sketches" (who would have guessed...).
there's actually the first draft of my next tattoo in that sketches folder. it's going to be a tribal wolf's head on my sternum, with other symbols going out along my collarbones on either side to my shoulders. so it's going to be pretty large, with a lot of detail in the wolf's head. i'm pretty stoked about getting it, although i won't be able to afford it anytime soon. but i finally know what i'm going to get next, so i can at least get an estimate of sorts so i can figure out how much i need to save.

Looks like it will take a long time to do. A lot of ink, and pretty expensive. But very cool. When I went to the Van's Warped Tour with my mom (she's so freakin cool some times), they had the air brush tats. She almost conviced me to get one just for fun. If it hadn't been a thousand degrees that day I maybe would have. I could never gear myself up enough to get a real one. Henna, sure, but not the real thing. In fact, if I had someone talented enough, I have a kick ass design I'd love done on my whole back. I'll have to see if I can dig it up, see what you think....
