Hmmm Turkey day... probably one of the greatest things about America! I believe I went into a food coma twice today, justsayin'.
aaaanyway... more important things to talk about... 4 of my favorite things in the whole wide world!
Roadtrips, Music, best friends and German things!
Friends:
Monday night was one of my good friends birthday. We all decided to go play pool then (in usual 20something year olds normal fashion) get smashed. I met up with everyone at the bar we decided to play at, decided to actually play pool even though i'm awful at it.... ended up winning a game! Woohoooo! We got our geek on & played a ton of awesome stuff on the jukebox, danced around like fools & sang overly loud while being completely sober. =) Afterwards we headed back to her house to have some drinks. I had the bright idea to try some four loko energy drink/alcohol fusion since they are so controversial. Fast forward a few hours to me and about 3 others barfing and crying, OH! NOW I UNDERSTAND. The following day I had the worst hangover i've ever had in my entire life! I was throwing up until 2 in the afternoon, could barely walk, still dizzy and stomach killing me until 8pm and my kidneys STILL hurt. I WILL NEEEEEVER DRINK FOUR LOKOS AGAIN! AyeAyeAye!
Anyway, it was fun before I got sick, and my friend had a fun birthday so yay!
Roadtrip/Music/German things:
My ultimate bestie, Stef, and I took a quick trip up to Albuquerque on wednesday. We live about three hours away & really wanted to see HelloGoodbye for the 5th time, so why not!? We drove up to Alb singing along to 90's crap/awesome music the entire way & gossipped about work, good times. We got into town about 11:30a, went to lunch at Dagmar's (best german food that isn't germany!), I got some cooking tips from the owner (she's such a sweet lady!), and I got some pumpkin strudel to bring home for turkey day. Afterwards we headed to Alpine Sausage Kitchen to get some little german groceries and junk, walked away with spaetzle sauce, Jaegersosse, milka!, hanuta wafers and some hiiiilarious body wash called Dusch Das!
After the german extravaganza was over ( =[ ) we headed to one of their twenty thousand malls to stock up on the things we can't get in my shitty town such as Sephora goodies, Forever 21 bargains and see's lollipops.
After the shopping extravaganza we decided that we would head to the venue because our dumbasses decided to forget to buy tickets (they shouuuuuld let us in free since we've seen them so many times... or at least give us a senior discount since everyone there to see 30h3 were about 15...) we tried finding scalpers and checking craigslist & could find any tickets! I start freaking out, then we hear the guy outside the theater scream they had tickets and to get in the other line. we booked it! Ended up getting tickets, the show was AMAZING yayaaaaa! If you haven't heard their new Album Would It Kill You? you should pick it up, you can probably find it under ten bucks somewhere, it is worth WAY more than that to me, it is great!
Now I feel like i've written a novel and I want sleep!
Has anyone seen any good bands within the last month/know of any good concerts coming up soon!?
