blerg...
the business i knew was coming this week has hit with full force, and i am only drowning a little...mostly keeping up and enjoying the rush. i have very little time for things like deep thought or dishes, but they will both be waiting when i get time again.
rehearsals for the kids show are going great. i forgot how much i like stage managing and that i am pretty good at it. we have been in rehearsal for 3 days, with 2 to go before we head to charlotte to perform on saturday. (at least i THINK we are going. the musicians strike is still not officially over, but the director chick is eternally optimistic. i won't know for sure sure until wednesday night, but i am assuming we are going. this way i am mentally prepared for both the adventure of doing this thing pretty much on the fly, and the tragedy of missing the belle and sebastian show on thursday night). it is so much fun to work in a professional yet laid back environment like this. everyone working hard, but being easy with each other, it's really fulfilling. if only there were theater work like this that did not eat up all my nights. if i could find a gig that would leave me with at least a few nights free a week, i would take it in a hearbeat.
more about the shit at the day job, stats, and the schmoopy joy of my boyfriend when i get some time.
