I haven't been on a lot since Carrie Ann moved in. Living with one of your closest friends is excellent. Carrie wakes up, comes into my room and jumps all over my bed waking me up and then we watch cartoons, Dawson's Creek, and Saved By The Bell. Then we both get home from work at 12 am (Chapters is open until 11pm now
), exchange funny stories and drive back into F'ton to go grocery shopping (24 hr Sobeys) or stay home and watch movies all night. I love it. Our current project is to get puppies. We probably won't get them but going to pet stores and looking at them is fun.
Work's been great. I think I attract all of the customers who want to know where the erotica is. Honestly though. This one woman was like, "Excuse me, where do you keep the dirty books?" and I showed her where they were and we talked about them for 10 minutes (SG was brought up many times). And yesterday was the absolute best.
GUY: (thick twangy accent) Excuse me, Miss
ME: Can I help you find anything?
GUY: ..Well, my wife and I were looking for something to read in bed.
ME: ...Umm... I hear John Grisham's good and Stuart McLean is pretty funny.
[Moment of silence and then I clue in.]
ME: OH. Okay.
GUY: Yeah, we were looking for something a bit perverted.
ME: (ten shades of red) I'll show you the erotica section then...
I did not have a 10 minute convo with that gentleman over erotica though.
Christmas is the absolute worst time to be working though. Sooooo many aggressive and cranky customers. I have to do my Xmas shopping this Friday so I might be one of those cranky customers though... Kidding.
I can't believe how rude people will be to each other. Just because they're the customers they think they can treat the "help" like complete shit. I could never treat anyone the way some customers have been treating me lately. I dunno, maybe it's because I've worked at the shittiest jobs so I know how horribly the staff gets treated.
Anyway, Carrie will be home soon so I'll have to catch up on all the photo sets I've missed. Ciao!
