In half an hour or so, I'm off to Empire Tattoos in Fairlands to get a final quote on, & make an appointment for, getting some permanent makeup done in early January. Don't want to go into too much detail right now, but I promise to post some before & after shots so you guys can see exactly what I get done
After that I'm off to Cresta to get some handmade chocs - for iBrand to give to their next 10 best clients (yesterday I put together hampers for their top 10 clients; today we're just moving a bit further down the list). I also need to pop into Studio Blue & look for a proper chair for my home office, lest I permanently fuck up my back on the shitty makeshift one we've been using up until now.
Then I've got to pick up my next batch of meds & head on through to iBrand in Wynberg where I am going to put each Xmas hamper together.
BTW, for any of you who may be interested in the latest goings-on in the SA fashion industry, you should check out iFashion - it's a pretty interesting site. Don't you just love this retro-inspired one-piece by Amanda Laird Cherry (a Durban-based designer), from our local ELLE Swimwear Collection 2006...
For someone my age - with a multitude of figure flaws - I just find this kind of ultra-feminine, forgiving design so refreshing when compared to those ridiculously skimpy lycra numbers you see modelled on impossibly perfect bodies across the pages of Sports Illustrated.
