Okay so this was a strange day.
Firstly some people may be disappointed to hear that I did not give in to my pyromaniac tendancies.
I therefore had to go to London today for a meeting/presentation/overview thingy (thats the technical term)
The train was running pretty much on time(a minor miracle in itself) when some poor soul decided to throw themselves in front of the train from Surbiton station.
At first we did not realise that this had happened (thought we were stopped at signals) then a voice came over thtannoy "we apologize for the delay, this train appears to have been involved in a fatality"
There then followed the longest nearly two hours , accompanied by various distressing tannoy messages.
The worst 2 were as follows :-
1 The driver came on thanking us for our patience, I don't know how this guy was even speaking after what he just went through but he was thanking us for our patience.
2 the guard came on and explained that the lights were going off for a while so that someone could go UNDER the train to fix something busted up in the "incident".
Is it just me or is the thought of going under a train, possibly having to crawl over BITS of some poor shmoe really horrible?
