3 hard drives, a mother board, and an IDE cable....what do these things have in commen...they all crapped out on me.
I bought a new computer, my mom's hard died. No problem right? I have a spare now and its alot better then what she had. I to clear out everythign and start from scratch to give her a new system. As I put the last driver (printer driver) on I get the MSBSD (MicroSoft Blue Screen of Death). I bought a new hard drive, and after dicking around with it for an hour and putting it in another computer, I have come to the conclusion that that the mother board and the IDE cable no longer work. What does all this mean you might ask? It means that I have wasted alot of time over the last week getting my mom a computer. Also that I dumped 80 bucks on a hard drive that I don't need.
Oh and the real kicker is that I dropped my car off for an oil change and a to have the brakes looked at....803 dollars later (after 45 dollar credit) I get my car back that stills squeeks when I close the door. So lets add this up....1500 for a new comp...300 for various equipment pices to network the house and software to protect it....80 bucks for a harddrive...803 for the car...toss in rent car insurence other usual bills and now the utilities for mom's house because she is out of work and doing part time shitto survive...what does that come out to? Me being flat ass broke for when I go out to portland next weekend to be with the girl friend...by the way, I still haven't made reservation for a hotel.........think she'll understand if I downgrade the room from 150 a night to 40? Probably she is pretty good that way...
*Bangs head on wall* I hate money
