Alright. Time to get back into the swing of things in earnest. Now that I'm officially back on the real internets, the iPhone can only do so much, I've had a lot to catch up on. Not least of which was acquiring Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition out on the 360 arcade haha. So now that I've played through it three times, giggled all the way each time, I'm back to serious business!
I wasn't completely unproductive over my weekend the last few days though. I bought a small sausage stuffing device that will do me for the time being. Being poor, I've found that making everything from scratch can save quite a bit of money especially when you can stretch expensive things like meats out. In my opinion there's no better option for that than making your own sausages
I also went down to the Brooklyn Homebrew store (www.brooklyn-homebrew.com) and picked up the ingredients needed to make a Dopplebock. Mmmmmm.
This being the second beer I brewed, first was an English Brown Ale, I think I might be jumping into the deep end pretty quickly. It started out a little slow, and I once again made a few stupid mistakes, so I was kind of worried it wasn't going to take. It, however, picked up quite nicely late yesterday afternoon with the airlock going off every half second it seemed. Which isn't too surprising as I put 7 pounds, i'll repeat that: 7 pounds, of malt extract into the wort... that's a ton of food for the yeast to eat lol. Today it's burbling at a steady pace and I have high hopes for it, I just now have to wait 2weeks or more as it really should be lagered...

what can i say, i'm an old school kinda guy haha unfortunately i haven't made the sausages yet, I need to get more casings before I can get that started. As for the beer, this is only my second brew. I finally have room to do it now that I moved to a cheaper place last June and am taking advantage of the start of the cold weather to start back up
