The old SG parties have been coming up in conversation quite a bit recently. I'm hard-pressed to explain the transition that's happened over the years... for one, the star attraction at parties these days is less apt to be out-of-control, barely-legal strippers, but a growling baby or a humpy rabbit. I think this changes the tone somewhat. Can't be sure of that, but I think it's probably a reasonable assumption.
While my liver appreciates the change of pace, I certainly miss having the opportunity to hang out with so many people on such a regular basis. And I miss celebrating every visit from out-of-towners like it's 1999. Those were festive times.
