Ever get to feeling that every making moment is going into routine maintenance? You wake up, perform some bodily maintenance. Go to work, financial maintenance. Come home, more bodily maintenance, maybe some emotional maintenance. In between, maintain the cats, the car, the clothes, the apartment...
Update:
Here's today's horoscope, hmm - "You're kind of frustrated with how slowly you're moving, but there's not a lot you can do about it now."
On a cheerier note - An Ode to George
There's, for some reason, a lot of early-senior-aged people in my apartment complex. The Disco Dog lady is one of them, and then there's George. I used to see him out walking his dog too, but then he passed, and now he just walks other people's dogs for fun. I caught him waiting for his family to come get him for a fancy dinner. We chatted, he hugged me and blessed me and sent me on my way. That made me smile like whoa. Hooray for George.

Zen is learning that it is all maintainance and the maintainance can be enjoyable.

You haven't read Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates by Tom Robbins, have you? The main character has this thing against routine body maintenance. Your entry reminds me of him.
