MP3: The Black Lips - 'Veni Vidi Vici"
I've saved this newspaper clipping since 1999, despite the fact that I never really thought astrology was accurate, and also, I'm not a nostalgic kind of person who would save random bits of paper.
I have no idea how I managed to keep that clipping. It fell out of a book while we were moving in 2003 (The Catcher in the Rye, how very profound and cheesy), so I put it back in the book, and eventually put the book on a shelve. Mr. Alyk found it again by accident in 2006, and pointed out that everything on that clipping was correct, even down to the months and years.
I'm down to the last year now, and every thing played out exactly how the clipping predicted it would, so I hope the world of astrology will accept my deepest apologies for ever doubting it's authenticity.
The holidays were horrible. Not in a car crash/grandma died kind of way, but just difficult and a bit stressful. No big deal, but it seems it has made me less likely to tolerate internet bullshit over the past few days, which is unfortunate, because tolerating internet bullshit is part of my job in some facets, I guess.
MP3: The Pogues - "Summer In Siam"
Lasagna and Stroganoff were neutered on Christmas Eve, so pour one out for their missing balls.
They don't even have the energy (or testosterone) to fight. Very unfortunate.
MP3: Erykah Badu - "Tyrone"
I'm busy making cupcakes and feeding ham to cats and taking naps with Mr. Alyk and indulging in 4am gossip and enjoying the misfortune of others...
... but I'll be around more soon. Or whatever. Who cares.
MP3: Feist - "Honey Honey"
