So it's certainly been a busy life lately, sorry for the lack of updates. Amazingly I am still alive.
Work has been stupid busy, we're two people short, and I had a pallet of of dorm fridges fall from 36 feet up and drop through the electrical department smashing a few fans and a bunch of glass. But the good news is Thursday is my last day there. I put in my two weeks last week, and I have to say that was one of the hardest things I've had to do at this job. I feel horrible leaving them short handed, but Ashley and I think it's best that I switch to days so we can start planning more stuff to get married.
Going to start working for Dr. Pepper, switching from the 3rd shift to 1st shift is going to be really weird. Currently I work from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am, and at Dr. Pepper I'll be starting at 6:00 am and ending when I'm done, overtime is approved.
In other big news Ashley's best friend is getting a dog so she has to find a new place to live, which means helping her get rid of her current place and find a new place that is animal friendly. Not an easy task in a college town when most if not all leases run from August to June.
Earlier this week Ashley and I took our dog to a near by state park. We took lots of pictures which you can see on my Facebook . Whether or not you check those out, I took a picture of the snake I've come to name Rupert. He's either a Copperhead or a Northern Water Snake. To be honest he looks closer to a Copperhead, but I doubt it was, they are very selective with their venom use, luckily, but this is the uppermost part of their territory. The reason I'm saying all this is because he bit me. Not a bad bite, there's a pic of it up on my facebook, but it could have been very bad had the snake been a Copperhead and used it's venom.
Ashley and I have been swamped with family stuff lately too. Last weekend we went to Oak Creek Wisconsin for her grandfather's 66th birthday and her cousin's 5th birthday. Then this weekend we have been entertaining her best friend's family while the house search goes on, and finally next weekend my parents, little brother and dog are all going to be spending the weekend here. We have a two bedroom house and the worlds smallest kitchen. Needless to say, this will be very interesting. They've had some interesting times in their town too. recently one of their neighbors was helping out an old friend. Well he'd been doing this for about two months, then she went back down to Missouri to get some stuff, after she came back she apparently went psycho and ended up in jail. I don't know the whole story but now the whole neighborhood is freaked out by it.
Yeah, I know horrible update, I'm sorry but I just woke up for work and just trying to get some sort of update out there.
