First of all to my American friends, I understand that the presidential elective isn't who the majority of the USA citizens would hope for, therefore you have my condolences.
But know that you are not alone, the world is in a turmoil at the moment because Trump is an unorthodox presidential elective. The presidential campaign has a domino effect on countries all over the world as leaders of every nation are deciding how they should approach the future policies made by the new president.
Honestly speaking, this has been the worst presidential campaign that I have ever seen. If you have seen videos of Taiwanese politicians having fisticuffs in office, this campaign is equivalent to that but only with the use of words. BTW if you haven't seen the videos as mentioned, go search on YouTube, it's worth it. More time was spent insulting the other party rather than focusing on future policies that would make the nation a better place. So many apples out there yet we were given two rotten ones and were made to choose.
I was rooting for the lesser evil, Hillary, but honestly speaking during the middle of the campaign trail I had a feeling that Trump would win. I feel the sexism isn't why Hillary lost, it was the things Trump spoke of that let him won. He knew who were his people and what they wanted to hear. He approached those who were forgotten, lost and ignorant and gave them words of fear and hope to paint a picture of the unknown. Words of promises for a better future, for his voters and the nation. Starting to sound like Jesus Christ doesn't he? Hahaha just kidding, Jesus Christ doesn't exist...
Disclaimer: I respect all religions and I do not know whether Jesus Christ is real or not but just trying to liven the mood since we are living in the unknown atm... sad times...
Anywho... We are all unsure of what is going to happen and that has lead to fear. The fear is so great that protests have turned violent, people are looking for asylum and markets have crashed. As mentioned before the world together with USA is in turmoil right now. We are all afraid of what might happen being that America is one of the leading countries in the world besides China. Our futures are very bleak as most countries around the world do depend on America for support.
However! I am staying positive as to what might happen in the future. I've been living in a place that has a ruling party that claims that they are running a democratic country when things are ran with an iron fist and that they have been in power for 50 years because people have been constantly voting for them due to words of promises, hopes and fears spoken by the ruling party at their campaign rallies. Let just say politicians would say anything just to get into office, however action wise might be a totally different thing. We can always hope can't we? :D
Well, you might not agree with me and that is fine, but hey together with you, and the world even, we are hoping for the same thing and that is nothing is gonna get fucked up. Fingers and toes crossed.
