I finally got a new job. It only took 3 months! It's pretty odd to say the least. I applied to be a body shop helper. My frame of mind was that of a dude not really looking to apply himself and end up in another job I'd quit in 6 months. The owner of the bodyshop liked my custom cover letter so much she suggested I speak with her husband about a job as his project manager.

Body shelp helper, to project manager... He's eccentric to say the least, but, my job is great. He is a one of a kind vehicular forensic investigator. As far as we know, he's one of if not the only one in the country. The short version, he's pretty much a mechanical genius and knows his shit. He's amazingly gifted at reading people and negotiating. He's terrible at managing his time, writing reports, and staying on task. That's where I come in. I use my writing skills to convey very specific messages through very persuasive writing.

I haven't had to try hard at much of anything in quite some time. Working this hard the last week made me realize so many things about myself that I'd forgotten. It's nice.

I know now I should have negotiated my salary a little better, but, I get to request a review or raise when I see fit. After 90 days I plan on asking for a review. If I am up to par, I see no reason I shouldn't get a dollar or two more an hour.

I see incentive to take a few extra English classes at my leisure this summer. I could use a brush up in a major way.

An old friend is here visiting from Wyoming and it's great to see him. I'm not a great host as I work M-F 9 to 5 but, he's doing ok on his own so far.

There's this girl I know... She's really cool and doesn't feel so great right now. So, take a second to stop by and tell StreetMuse that she's loved, she's great, she's gorgeous, and to get well.
