Ok this is really weird but, I was just driving home from Greeley, like two minutes ago. It's almost six and the sun is setting but it's still kind of bright, and its fall and the leaves are mostly all orange and red and yellow. I was just listening to the radio some stupid talk show because I'm sick of all my music and this song came on I've never heard and I finally got onto college. The wind was blowing pretty hard and it was blowing the leaves off the tree's, billions of tiny orange leaves falling like snow, and on the road there were clumps and the wind from the cars made them swirl and move in groups like when fish swim in schools, and all move together, and they are all shiny on one side and they flicker at a certain angle. The sun was shining through the trees at this one part and the leaves were falling and the others on the road would catch the light and move all together and it was all glitter on the road. I don't even know how to explain it, I don't feel eloquent but it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Out of all the nature I've seen on drives to Durango, a fucking 3 hour scenic train ride into Silverton, oceans, sand dunes, and mountains. Out of everything, this image of the leaves on the road and the tree's and I don't even know probably even the song. It was the most amazingly pretty thing I've seen. It made me feel so calm and connected to nature, like that quality of ever changing reality, where for a second the road and the cars weren't man made but just the same as the leaves never stopping, blowing in all sorts of crazy directions, never the same and eventually gone. I wish I had my camera, but I don't think that would have done it any justice. Ok I'm getting really corny about this, it sounds really lame in writing, and especially in my very conversational prose style I'm doing right now but whatever. It moved me and I just wanted to write it down.
