Finally! I have my ratties. They are adorable. Annabell and Beatrix.
Annabell is Jon's rattie she's white with like a tan face and line on her back.
Beatrix is my girl, she's all black with a white belly and legs.
I love them both already.
This is the 3rd day we've had them, their still scared. I don't think the petshop was too nice of a place for them.
I tried to find a breeder around here but I coulden't find any at all.
It's going to be hard to make them trust humans but I've been doing everything I'm supposed to and it will be a good payoff. I think it's still early too, they need to get used to their new home before they start to trust us.
Expect lots of pictures once they are more used to being handled (which could take weeks who knows.)
In other news, school is lame but it's getting better. My religion class is really interesting, so is Literary Criticism. The rest are meh, but they will be fine, I'm just not in the school mode yet.
I'm more obsessing about the ratties, I want them to like us so I can start taking them out of the cage and what not. I know I have to be patient but it's so hard cause they're so adorable haha.
Beatrix is less nervous, she'll come up to my hand already to take food and lets me pet her, but she's also a lazy bum, she sleeps all day/night (although that might be good when I just want her to take a nap in my lap eeee.) Annabell is more playfull and does lots of cute stuff, but she still runs away from our hands.
We still need to get them a proper nesting box, they are overpriced and never the right size, I might just make one myself out of plastic instead of cardboard so it'll last longer than the one they have now (which is already bitten up.) We also need to get some grease or something for their wheele cause it's REALLY squeeky and we can't get caught having them in our appartment. (shhhh)
Is it sad that when I go grocery shopping I end up buying more for them than for us?
Ok I could go on forever but I won't.

congrats! Try feeding them scrambled eggs by hand...that should warm them up to ya!
