If you've never seen Placbo then you are in for a treat. The only time I've seen them play a mediocre show is in a city they don't like (ie. Boston) and I don't believe they have anything against Portland. I was lucky to see them open for Catherine on their first us tour in 96'. Fell in love with the band during the first song. Placebo is definately one of my all time favorite bands.

I think I was 18 the last time I saw Catherine. The afterparty was interesting, and ended with an amusing D'Arcy story I'll have to tell you sometime.

I celebrate Samhain too!! 
I use to have a 6 acre farm and every year I would have a samhain celebration with a huge bonfire. and the kids on my block would leave apples under the trees and help me decorate the alter. Lots of fun!

I have to say the one horror movie that stands out in my mind is when a stranger calls. When they trace the call and find out it was coming from the same house she's babysitting in...*shiver. I've seen children of the corn but I barely remember it.
Let me know how the movie is.
