Now Playing: Sigur Ros - The Nothing song
Now Reading: Some cultural study on Gothic culture in the last 400 years. Weee
So, remember how one month ago almost to the day my friends truck got broken into and they jacked my bag with like $300 worth of goods?
Well, it happened again. Tonight for an encore, my truck was broken into and my cd player was stolen. And for a second encore, a couple days ago my car got towed for not moving within 24 hours. In one month, that is $1100 worth of shit I am paying for that in no way shape or form affects me. I don't even make that in a month.
So, about 5 weeks of my life will be spent working to pay for A: A bag full of shit with no resale value what so ever. B: A $1500 car being towed because of some fucking insane city ordinance, C: Crackhead again, stealing a CD player that is literally impossible to pawn, or operate once it is removed from my vehicle.
The cd player has security devices that cause it to fail to work once the battery is disconnected. So, once it gets to the pawn shop and they hook it up, they will see a nice message that says "This CD player requires a security key to operate" Once the crackhead fails to produce said key, the cd player is useless.
So, total retail value of stolen items = around $700. Total resale of said stolen items probably comes to about $20.00.
I'm not that upset about the items. I'm just upset that I spent so much time away from my friends, away from my home to earn the right to own said items, then, they are taken from me.
The basic idea of theft just makes me sick. If I was a Native American, I'd have taken a hatchet to every white persons face I see a long long time ago.
Nerds. All thieves are nerds.
