move so you please yourself, move beleiving you can create interesting,luscious, delicious, rich movement.
That's the start. that's what they mean by grounded and centered.
fight, flail, flinch, let your breath rasp, and your lungs burn, but fight, and come from that place of enjoyment.
so you are not everyone's favorite, so you are not as flexible as a circus performer, as strong as an olympic athlete, thin as a model, co-ordinated as a tango pair,
you have axe, feel it, breathe it, show it to the world.
so you might fall down, dodge the wrong way and get knocked in the head, fall on your head trying to do a walkover, offend someone by buying the game at the wrong time, or by not buying the game
frozen in that moment.
there is a whole house of uncertainty, populated with rooms of dread, where time barely moves at all, and your own tongue seems incredibly thick and choking.
so don't even knock on the door, walk past the front gate, move on to glory.
but at least enjoy yourself.
that there is a fight is the whole point.
keep fighting. keep playing.
joga bonito porque eu quero ver;
joga bonito porque eu quero aprender...

I totally wanted to get something Tolkien-esq as a tattoo, but it seems almost too cliche now. Sure, I read the books when I was 12, but I only recently got the conviction for tattoos. I was going to get one of the dwarven war cries, but never settled on which one. I always thought it would be cool to be taking off my armor at a tournament and have someone ask me about it, and just shout out the war cry at them.. ehehe.
Yeah, I'm a dork.
I love the languages in the books. Elvish.org is also one of those websites that can just browse and browse all day long. I love that.
