My portuguese is eating my spanish whole and spitting it out.

I've been learning spanish and portuguese a la vez, together for over four years now. I do not recomend this process unless you are a big time masochist, like to feel stupid alot, or are a super language geek like me.
One great side effect of this process is saying 'j' like in portuguese when speaking to spanish speakers.
that would more like english j, and not at all like spanish j. aka people think you're a moron when you say jose' .
but, I have now graduated college, and thus have no more spanish classes. This means that the number of people who speak spanish to me on a day to day basis is usually under 2, while the number of people I speak portuguese with has sharply risen, what with all the brazilians at capoeira.
It would be great to maintain them both, but it's kind of tough.

Thats really rad..... I took three years of Spanish in High School and can still only order a beer in Mexico. My teacher was crazy.........she thought she had leprachuans in the closet .............one time somebody locked her in the closet. None the less.............I still dont know spanish. I suck and you rawk.
