SAMBA SAMBA SAMBA!
We had a party to raise money for our capoeira batizado (big yearly event.) I wasn't going to go because I worked today, and it's weird to go out alone, even if I know all the people who will be there-- it's weird to go to a new place alone.
But I decided to go at the last minute. See part of the problem here is that I like to dress up all hoochie and go dancing, but my boyfriend won't come. Of course last time he went out dancing with me a bottle fell on me from a second story balcony, and we spent hours int he emergency room so I could get seven stitches on my shoulder.
Of course, it's not like I'm alone at these parties. But I'm sort of a loner in some ways. These aren'tlike girlfriends I go out dancing with. I'm not part of the girl clique.
Not that there really is one.
But this was a good event, I saw some beautiful capoeira, and several old friends that I haven't seen in 2 years.
I think these parties would be more fun if I was still a lush.
SO I think my boyfriend should come to the next one of these parties, dec. 12, since he claims to like to see me get dressed up nice and all of that, and I would be much safer walking to the car, and I would have someone to talk to.
Aside from all the other shy geeks who come to these parties.... There are a couple of us.

What's in it for him? How about all of the silly concerts I've gone to with him? I go places with him.
