I think something needs to be said about language. About two words specifically.

Optimist, and Pessimist.

OPTIMIST says "That could happen"

PESSIMIST says "That probably won't happen"

Now correct me if I am wrong but I see a fundamental problem with this situation. In all of my years, in all of my experiences I have found one thing to be true. I have never seen...

You also refer to me judging - I do not judge - or, at least, I try not to, Society as a whole judges, which form a persons reputation which is only a surface reputation, based on the percieved acts of the individual.

Soo cool! Don't let that go to your head cause you are a handful when you are full of yourself

So, do you use the sword first, or the gun first?
Personally, I think it would be more interesting to slash then shoot.

I've decided to post something here that I wrote a few years ago. I kind of want it to be preserved someplace and I figure this is as good as any. I'll throw up a spoiler on it cause it's kinda long, and anyone who doesn't want to read it doesn't have to.

It's just a little story that I wrote while I was at...

Reminiscent of the Cuchulainn myths of the Celts - have you ever checked out the Slaine graphic novels?

I was looking through a book of quotes I have today, and I was disheartened to find something. I'd recently had a conversation with a close friend of mine about Honor. I was wondering what quotes I might find on the subject, so i decided to look it up.

Honor See Reputation; Virtue

I was, and to some extent still am astonished. The idea that...

Okay so this entry is going to be a bit different. Actually it's going to be a little insight into the elusive past of Alex Star....

So I'm finally updating my MySpace today. No reason other than I really liked one of the newer SG Themes, and I wanted to put it on something. So on a whim I checked on the 'school' function, and...

I feel like explaining something. Not because anyone asked me to, but just because I feel the time is right.

I sign each of my journal entries with a little saying... "Everything I tell you is a Lie". I feel that now is the time to explain what I mean with that statement.

The statement does not mean that everything I am saying is a...

I love your rambling ...
kindle:
You are indeed the master of cryptic messages but from you, my love, I would have it no other way, unless of course, its a very simple answer.

You are right. There is indeed a difference between truth and fact but that does not take away from the value of the truth in a statement, a theory, a belief, an opinion or even in a fact. Just because a fact is plain to see does not make it any less true. The only other option would be that the fact is false which, is also possible. This world is loaded with false facts, facts that are true upon first examination but later proven otherwise. That does not mean that the fact was false because at one point it wasnt.

-Forgive me while I ramble a bit, sometimes I get emotional when I write.-

It has been five days since my last entry. I feel that is enough of a buffer between what I said, and what I would like to say now.

The word in my previous entry is not so much a word as it is an idea. It is, however, not just...

Everyone always asks for the same things.

"Try to keep an open mind."
"Don't judge to quickly."
"Hear me out on this."

Perhaps I am mising something, but does this not defeat the purpose of trying to make a statement?

Give me the people who are prejudiced, the ones who jump to conclusions, the people who are stubborn in their views. Those who are willing...

Oh, sorry to give a quick response, it is not my intension to slight your thoughtful entry. I mean I am not sorry. Good questions. Ill say that peace in any form is boring. You know like sleeping in way to long. This is not to say that it isnt good, just a state of nothing happening. I cant deal with it. Violence to me, means change. Cruelty is different. These and other incomplete thoughts.

Good entry.. makes one rethink alot of things we take for granted. I decided years ago never to utter the following anymore, under any circumstances: "trust me" and "believe me". I have kept that promise so far. I mean, what is the point of saying that to someone? It suggests that they actually DON'T trust/believe you in the first place, which to me means that they just don't know you, or are not on the same level. Either you trust me or you don't. You believe (in) me ..or you don't. I need not MAKE you do either. Thas my opinion. smile

Sort of a repost... but more like a simultaneous one.. Wrote this on live journal yesterday.

Success has nothing to do with accomplishment anymore. Success has only to do with acting, putting yourself forward to face the tides of life. The only failure is that of inaction, of indecision, of restraint.

It has been said...

"All good things which exist are the fruit of originality"...
