I'm really fucking scared right now.

My boss is walking around the office with a cane because her husband beat the shit out of her for the fourth time now.
He keeps calling the office and asking for her. I would usually say she is not here or she's in a meeting, but I finally told him that he was simply not welcome to call the office anymore.
He responded by telling me he was on his way to the office to slap me. Soon after that, he arrived. He started yelling at me and tried to attack me. He didn't get me, but as he was being pushed out of the office he yelled that he would be waiting for me after work.

I can't call the cops. This is the ghetto. If I call the cops he will either have his crew come after both me and my boss, or he'll just come after me with an even hotter fire when he gets out (which would either be later this evening or tomorrow morning).
I'm afraid to leave my office now. I don't know what to do.

Seriously guys, calling the cops really is NOT an option! The worst thing you can be in this area of town is be a snitch. It would make everything TEN TIMES worse, and may even put my life in danger. I know the cops are there to help, but in most situations (as I have learned in the past) they don't do a damn thing. And in this situation in particular it WILL make things worse!
But I really appreciate the advise and support.
I am going to leave early and a co-worker is going to walk me to the subway.
