This weekend has been non-stop like WHOA! and I have pictures to proove it!
So, my weekend started on Thursday night. I met Hellah and Sureality and Provo and Aaron from Starvin With Louis at the bar, had a couple beers and some food. We then headed over to a party where we found ourselves completely out of place, surrounded by a bunch of hipster kids (you know the kind that spend 2 hours in the mirror so they can look just the right kind of trashy in their Urban Outfitter exclusive clothes with their belt strategicaly placed on the side).
So Hellah and I decide that the only way to deal with such a situation is to get drunk and make fun.
Getting drunk seemed like a good idea. I also thought it would be a good idea to shoot a fire extiguisher off at Provo out in the hallway of the building. It was really funny until the fire alarm went off. So of course we made a quick get away just in time to see two fire engines screach in with lights and sirens blaring!
We managed to make a clean get away and I passed out around 3:30 on the couch.
The next day I went straight to class, changed at school and headed off to the Dresden Dolls show at the Orpheum Theatre.
The show was, of course, INCREDIBLE! nuff said.
Saturday night:
So the name of the party was Debauchery. No I'm not kidding, that was really the name of the party.
The concept was this: Apon arrival each guest is given ten debauchery dollars. The goal is to earn the most debauchery dollars by the end of the night. In order to earn debauchery dollars you of course must do something debaucherous.
Although I did not win, I did come in a close second and I kissed so many hot girls that my lips were sore by the end of the night.
And now, the pictures I promised...
Getting ready
Did I not do a magnificent job on this man's make-up?
J.T. and Adele
The crew
You can't see it, but Adele is packing a silver strap-on under there. Fabulous!
Dressed to kill
Somewhere around 5:30am we made our way back to J.T.'s, crashed for exactly 2 hours and then rushed off because J.T. had a massage class.
It was a fabulous time, but I'm not sure my feet will ever forgive me. Wearing 9 inch platforms all night long is a bad idea, I have discovered.
Today was a lazy day where the most I got done was some grocery shopping, and tomorrow I will be observing gorillas at the zoo for class.
oh, and I know this is getting pretty long, but I have to add this in...
My philosophy professor gave me another A on the paper I just finished which gives me an A for the course! *happy dance*
oh, and he also had these very nice things to say, "This is another very impressive paper, far above the norm in solidity of argument and quality of writing for undergraduate philosophy papers. Your summary analysis of the conceptual frameworks of Rawls and Nozick is accurate and complete for the purposes of a short paper, and your application of those frameworks to the estate tax controversy is balanced and convincing. Im wondering how your plans for the future are shaping up. You clearly belong in college as a matriculating student, and I think you would do very well as a philosophy major at UMB. The major is particularly good as preparation for law school or graduate work in policy studies, both of which you may have a talent for, and both of which are represented by special tracks within the department (i.e. there are philosophy and law and philosophy and public policy programs). Also the philosophy department at UMB is an especially lively place for undergraduates. Friday afternoon discussions in the Philosophy Club regularly draw around 30 participants. I know that financial aid is always a consideration, but Id be more than happy to write you a very strong letter of recommendation. In any event, if your purpose this semester was to get your feet wet in regular college, Id urge you now to just plunge right in. "
Eeeeeeeehhhh!
Thats exciting to me, but I think I'll stick with Cultural Anthropology.
Ok, I'm done now.
'night!
