Greetings and salutations everyone,
It's been a busy couple of months for me, I last said hi in December, so since then:
a) My wonderful and beautiful girlfriend returned to England to finish her masters work there. I miss her all the time.
b) I've continued with my schooling at York U. So far, I must say it's been a disappointment. I have a political science class where we don't talk about politics, a writer's lit theory class which had nothing at all to do with writing, and another English class where everything was looked at exclusively from the vantage point of Feminist theory. Not that feminist lit is bad thing in and of itself. It's just not at all what I signed up for.
Plus, the school, when I joined, gave me information about how long it would take me to achieve what it is I need to achieve(a BA). Now I'm being told something different, and it's pissed me off to the point where I'm probably going to be switching schools.
c) I'm poor. I have debts that I work to pay off, so my OSAP money is pretty much my only source of income to live off of, and it's beginning to dwindle. Grrr. Thank god for my parents giving me boxes of TV dinners every month and for having the George Foreman grill with which to make lots of sandwiches on.
d) I submitted writing work (a chapter from a story) to my school for a competition. It's the first thing I've ever submitted to anywhere. I'm hoping for some kind of positive results.
Other than that I've just been busy with school work. Listening to music and watching movies and doing things to procrastinate( like a good mediocre student should ). I think I should try and make SG a thing again too.
Hope everyone else in SGland is doing well too.
cheers.
