Well, Friday was a good day.
I woke up for work late. And no one said anything.
On of the guys from another department took me and a few others out for lunch at an Indian buffet in appreciation for the hard work we did on a big project over the last month. I had four plates of food, plus dessert, plus a mango lassie. And didn't pay a dime for it. And the lunch lasted 2 1/2 hours, for which I got paid. And when I got back no one said anything.
And then at the end of the day, I got called into my bosses office. I thought I was getting in trouble for either the late in the morning or the 2 hours I took as an extra lunch. Maybe even both, but it was actually neither.
I got a raise.
So yeah, A very good work day doesn't happen often, but when it does, oh man.

Is it weird to think about someone (whom you never see) on a fairly regular basis? I have a friend who goes to school in Vancouver. And I think about things that she'd like, or that that it'd be a great song to put on a cd for her. Just random thoughts over the course of a day or week.
It's nothing obsessive, but I find it a little disconcerting that I've had a crush on the same person for almost two years now (I've had crushes on other people too. Infact I dated other people during the whole time period, but I always feelings for this one girl). I only see the person maybe 3 months a year, and sporadically at that. While I do realize that it's nothing that is life crippling, I still wonder about the mental health of me thinking about dating a girl I haven't seen since August. And I get excited to read an email she sends. It's all very strange.

Anyhoo, last night I played a hotseat game of CIV IV for 6 & a 1/2 hours(When you discover a new technology, Leonard Nimoy reads you famous quotes relating to the technology dicovered).
And then went downstairs and talked to his roommate about Derrida and his theories for another two. My brain was fried by the time I got home.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend.
