Ok.
I have been sick since New Year's.
I've been keeping it kinda secret because someone recently said I "seem to get sick a lot".
I am not one of those people who gets sick a lot.
Well, at least not until lately.
I blame Waveland.
This is the level of hygiene around here:
So I haven't been able to hear (like almost not at all) for 6 weeks now.
I haven't been able to work on music at all.
I also have pretty much lost my voice.
My larynx feels cracked.
It's getting better, but verrrrry slowly.
Sometimes I cough so much I almost puke.
Today I did puke.
Several times.
Just from the coughing fit - my stomach is fine.
Anyway, you know how I hate to complain, but I felt I needed to explain my perhaps less (Ooh! My left ear spontaneuously opened for a sec! Now it's closed again than stellar prescence around here lately.
Now before everyone tells me to go to the dr, I had this same thing last spring and went to 3 specialists, ended up having my eardrums pierced (among other things!) and NONE of it helped. It lasted 6 to 8 weeks and it eventually just went away.
Meh.
Hey, didja see how great Evette looks in her new set?
Oh!
And more than 6 feet of snow have fallen at our town in Vermont.
There's so much the plough guy called to say he can't plow our driveway!
They have to bring in like, I dunno, a crane or bulldozer or something, and they can't just wait cos it's supposed to snow a lot more this week!
I mention this because we're gonna have to go up there soon (next week?) and this is early warning for anyone who might even possibly entertain the idea of coming to stay with us for a few days up there.
It won't get get any more winter than it is right now!
Imagine, FancyD, snow higher than our heads!
How fun!
I think you might be planning a trip west, so now might not be a good time, but we'd love you, (almost) any of you, to come along.
We have room for two in the car if you wanna leave from NYC, and the Burlington airport is only 40 mins away!
Well think about it anyway....
Skiing.
Sledding.
Ice Skating.
Movie Watching.
Fireplace.
Hot Chocolate.
Am I too tired for questions?
Yes.
Here's a clip of Harvey Pekar's friend, Toby Radloff.
This is how he really is.
It is not an act.
