I have contempt for a world in which people have to spend large portions of their lives doing something they don't care about at best, and loathe at worst, in order to simply survive.
I have nothing but sympathy for those of us (the vast majority - including myself at times) who must sacrifice large chunks of our lives to put food on our tables, rooves over our heads, and food in our and our children's stomachs.
Forget about the parasitic enconomic elite that gobble everything up that should be shared in, I believe, a meritocratic (is that a word?) way. They can all die for all I care. Ignorant pigs at the trough.
We all take this system for granted.
I am not advocating Marxism or anything else (sorry, Saeta ) - everything we've come up with so far has been WRONG.
Morally, practically, whatever - it's all been wrong.
The exploited class, which is you and I and 97% of the rest of the world, is given just enough to make us think we're lucky to have as much as we do, therefore we shut up.
I'm not saying anyone planned this - it just happened, evolved over thousands of years.
It doesn't make it right, though.
So, ok.
What do we do about it?
Where the fuck do we start if we want things to so fundamentally change (assuming we even do)?
Do we just accept our circumstances as unchangable and try to carve out the best life we can with what we're given, because we're not gonna be able to change anything anyway?
Or is there something we should or could be doing, however infinitessimal, that might contribute to the overthrow of such an unfair, exploitative, destructive system a thousand years somewhere down the road?
If you choose this option I guarantee you will be very uncomfortable and there may be no point in it anyway.
Oh, which to choose....
You're all gonna ignore that aren't you?
So let's get on with the party!
If this photo means nothing to you that's ok.
We had a guest for the superbowl:
She didn't want her face to be shown as she's something of an outlaw on SG.
Do you recognize this woman?????
She kept rubbing it in about the Bears' losing, but I didn't care.
She wisely worshipped at the altar of Waveland, Anaxarete, and Stella, so how could I be mad?
Plus the Bears were not the better team.
We ate way too much and all our tummies still hurt I think.
And our trip to Vermont was fun.
Very cold, but it feels so good there.
Wave has been practicing his drumming.
He's getting better, frilz yo.
The only bad part is that he makes me drum along with him, and he won't let me play the snare - I have to play the floor tom only, and if I stop he points to it with his drumstick and says "MM?" until I give in and give a good beat (on the drum).
JUST WONDERIN:
1) What band t-shirts do you own?
2) Have you ever had a broken bone?
3) What did you play in band? Did you march?
4) Are you going to break the home run record?
5) Do you avoid sex during your (or her) period?

Wave's looking like quite the mountain man these days. Or is that just his fresh-air-Vermont look? Cute!

Like people in their 20s -30s who mean well and want to turn on and tune
in the world for the better, The old gard down in DC now are to jaded they lost
the beat of the common folk. so in the end I would go with the Tri-power
thing kind of like in the UK a legit 3 party sys. old Dems and Reps need a
wake up call. Too bad about the Bears but thats so right how you
and your son play drums-peace
