That's enough hotness for a while....
I wanted to talk about punk rock.
I'm never able to say just what I mean, so this discussion will be open ended.
Punk rock means a lot to me.
Some people are marxists (like Lee Harvey Oswald).
I am a punk rocker.
Marxism is easier to define.
How do I know I'm a punk rocker?
Because I say I am.
Are you a punk rocker?
The big question is:
What is punk rock?
What does it mean?
Is it a relevant term today?
What are the responsibilities of a punk rocker?
Are there any?
This is stuff I think about everyday.
Why do I care so much?
Is it just because of the time during which I grew up?
I had to seek it out.
It did not come to me.
The one thing I want to say today is that in my opinion, punk rock must be connected to music.
It's about more than just the music, but you can't have punk rock without it.
That's where it begins and ends.
It is not "about" art, politics, societal rules, etc.
They are all part of the ethic, all integral parts of punk rock, but the music comes first, and it is the most important part of the whole idea or ethos.
I'm not gonna go on and on every post, I want to break it up into discussable bits.
So that's enough for today.
Last night was Anaxarete's birthday dinner (she does not, unlike I vehemently do, believe in necesarily celebrating on the actual day) at an italian restaurant.
The owner is this guy Gilberto, who was an old-school paparazzo. In Italy. In the 50' and 60's.
He took pics of all sorts of stars.
He didn't take, but is actually IN, this photo of the Beatles in Italy in 1964.
He's standing behind them with his camera.
He was kind enough to pose with me:
And here's a picture of him getting punched in the line of duty (and below it is a photo he took of Sophia Loren):
I had the penne putanesca.
It was good.
I know I've shown her a lot lately, but here's one more of a great (but limited) series of Aijin:
I don't really get this one so much...
JUST WONDERIN:
1) Are you a punk rocker?

3) Are you a frosting person?
4) Have you ever shaved your head?
5) Do you wear clean underwear EVERY day?

4) Have you ever shaved your head?
No, but one day i will.
5) Do you wear clean underwear EVERY day?
Some days i don't wear underwear at all.
