He's been waiting patiently for us to continue the story of his quest for love, acceptance, and a job.
Where was he last you wonder?
Why under a tree, of course, sleeping for 70 years.
Wait.
Wrong story.
Oh, how could I forget - he was feeling sorry for himself!
Ah, self-pity, the most manly of all emotions...
Thursday, April 11th, 3:30am:
I had the worst day of my life.
I have such the crush on Madelon.
Wendy turned on me. She and a bunch of bitches from this [dorm] floor: Maria, Betsey, Eileen, Anne, etc talked to Michael Harvey [official director of campus life] behind my back today. I am going to be forcably thrown outta here if they see me.....
I am numb with hate, frustration, and anger.
MADELON [written in pink magic marker from this point on] and I made a "Death List".
It has more than 30 names already, including Betsey, Michael Harvey, and Wendy (twice) - it's a lot of fun. I really like MADELON and I think MAYBE she likes me. I'm not sure though. She said she would come over tomorrow morning and watch All My Children with me.
I made $25 last night making a tent for Martin's movie. I was up till 9:00am and only got 3 hours of sleep, so I'm pretty tired.
Anyway, I really hope MADELON likes me because she is a very nice person. I feel really innocent writing about a girl I have a crush on in my diary.
MADELON IS SWEET. SHE IS CUTE. I THINK WE'D BE COOL TOGETHER. <3
Another really cool thing about our Death List, we drew little hearts all over it.
I went for a walk today when I got really upset. I ended up sitting next to the river. I saw this guy walking over to me. I watched him squat down, just 6 feet from me. I heard him say:
"Don't you get a lot of shit dressing like a punk in Bronxville?"
I said "Yeah".
I saw him smile and he said "Samhain. Did you see them at the Rock Hotel?"
I said no.
I soon found out that his nephew is Davey Gunner, the singer for Kraut, and that he likes punk rock too.
I had a nice talk with him and then I walked back to Sarah Lawrence [College].
I HOPE MADELON COMES TOMORROW
Will she?
Won't she?
Is Young Afterbirth just setting himself up for another fall?
Tune in tomorrow and find out.
In an interesting twist of fate, we happened to have run into Madelon on Saturday.
She lives in India for the most part now, but she is as cute as ever.
I told her I was posting my old journal here, and I'm making these public so she can read them along with you.
I've never shown these to anyone, much less someone who was actually a protagonist.
Well, whatever, it will be interesting for her at least!
Question for the day:
Did you ever sit by a river and talk to Davey Gunner's uncle?
did you see sune went pink? ha ha ha, i'm going around telling everyone 'cause i'm so happy! if only it were me.... . pff. but yeah, she's so gorgeous, it's awesome!
i'm so bored, ian.... afterbirth.... man with no name.
and what's this about my reading? if you really want to know, I just finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at work and started Animals In Translation written by an autistic woman who helped design the humane systems in use in over 50% of american slaughter houses. and at home, I'm reading Rent Girl which is a pseudo-graphic novel about a young lesbian who becomes a sex worker. very interesting. what are you reading? oh, old diaries written in pink.
