well, i suck for not updating more in Afghanistan, but alas, im back home! not much time, but i wanted to say hello to the great friends on this wonderful little psuedo-community.

ill be in the Bay Area from oct. 5th, to the 25th, so if anyone is around those parts at that time, hit me up!

well, don't thank us yet! i just hope we sent you stuff you can use! i find it to be a complete bummer and rip-off that porn gets stolen before it reaches its intended recipient over there. when i think about what i'd want most if i had to be freezing cold, and thousands of miles away from my culture, it would definitely be a few good copies of some dirty magazines. heh. or books.

my life has been pretty decent. ck and my best friend got the influenza and now the two of us are feeling a little under the weather, so we hope it's nothing. i got a new employee at my job that i can hand off alot of the data entry type stuff to. the best part is that she's only here for a couple hours a day, so i don't have to worry about keeping her busy all day long.

the weather is getting warm! it's practically spring. and the research facility where i work studies climate change which has been a big topic in the news of late, so it's been interesting to see all the publicity.

i just submitted a new set for SG, and i'm already thinking about what i want to do for my next one, so that's good.

i guess the things that aren't good are that haven't felt like working out, and my boss is a total moron. but there are so many things that are going well, with ck having cool work stuff happening, and also me having a very crafty vibe, that i can't be mad at jah. jah guide.

so how's that for boring, eh? like that?! hehe.

ill tell ya, the 19th/20th group route is the way to go- they basically get to do all the cool deployments, but they dont have to play army inbetween them! its pretty rad.



That's pertty much his attitude-- he was out for many years, and then got back in after 9/11 when this buddy of his who (as a yonger man) had bounced in on a jump was cleared physically for reserve duty. ! He was all, "fuck, if he could get in, I could get in." Turns out the medic doing his intake physical was a old buddy from back in the day-- gave him grade 1A, 1A, 1A, 1A . . . biggrin

I know at least one of those old dudes on his team only comes back for the wars. smile
