I dunno. It's been a tough week at work. I'm wiped out. The recent events in Iraq have chilled me to the bone and left me feeling empty. Not much of a desire to get on the 'puter and write or update.
It's been one of those weeks where every choice I've made in my life seems to press in on me and demands to be examined: Shouldn't I be farther along than I am? Why is it so damn hard to decide what to do with my life? I look around and see that many of my friends seem very happy with the choices that they've made - job, family, life. Not that I want their particular job, or lifestyle even, but they seem happy with it. I feel like I'm floating along, being pulled by currents I don't I truly understand and am unable to control.
It's just been one of those weeks...
and to my dog...thank you.

Digital magic of Ray Caesar
My work is entirely digital, from its creation to its method of printing. I create models in a three dimensional modeling software and cover these models with painted and manipulated photographic textures that wrap around them like a map on a globe. Each model is then set up with a invisible skeleton that allows me to pose and position the figure in its three dimensional environment. Digital lights and cameras are added with shadows and reflections simulating that of a real world.

Everyone I know seems to have chosen a path and is happily wandering down it.
Also, I'm getting small biological clock pangs. My body knows it's likely not going to get its way and produce anything.
What strange, wonderful and creepy art. I really like the Waiting Wife.
