Yesterday was so pretty! Saturday night it poured and poured, but yesterday the sun was out and the temperature was perfect with a slight breeze. Daniel and I sat out on the balcony while he played his guitar (which he desperately needs an amp for) and Samantha got to lay in the sunshine.
We went driving around Rice and found a cute little Mexican place with a patio, so we could enjoy the weather. The patio was lovely, full of palm trees and Christmas lights, but the service sucked because they were too busy and everyone was concentrated in the patio. I had a couple mango margaritas and on the way home we rented The Princess Bride and The Core. I know, I know, The Core is a cheesy piece-of-crap movie. It was, too, but Daniel and I are suckers for bad sci-fi movies. My favorite bad one is Incubus, the first movie William Shatner made after Star Trek, because the entire film is in Esperanto of all things. OK, I really sound like a sci-fi geek there. I'm not, I promise!
Between the margaritas and my unisom, I got a yummy nap in on the couch watching The Princess Bride. Unfortunately, my mom called me for the millionth time to chat about nothing and everything and woke me up. Of course, that meant I had to be up with Daniel watching The Core in all its lameness. I also stayed up to keep him from watching softcore porn on Skinemax. I'm so mean!
I hope everyone had a Sunday as lazy as mine, minus the interrupted sleep. I am so excited about the SG Burlesque shows in Georgia this week!
I'm so bored I'm trying to write haikus in Portuguese. This is not fun.
If you could speak any language in the world, other than English, which you don't already speak, which would you want to know? Why?
My answer: Russian! It's badass!

So, you're not going all the way to Georgia just for 2 more shows, are you? That's awesome though. I would love to catch a couple more shows.

Yeah, I speak Russian and Ukrainian and yup, you're right they are both real badass - the protolanguage "Old Slavonic" probably kicks both but that's only spoken in very very very ___certain contexts.
