Tomorrow after work I am driving to Austin to see my aunt Susanna and her family. I'm a bit nervous about explaining my tattoos to them, as they are extremely white-bread. I'm not worried about my aunt and uncle because they're very cool and respect me as a quasi-adult, but I worry about explaining them to my cousins, aged 11 & 12. The weekend I got my first tattoo, I asked them how they would feel about me getting a tattoo and they freaked out. Oh well. At least they haven't threatened to disown me if I get more, like my Brazilian grandmother has. I so want to get that orchid tribal piece at Electric Ladyland on my ankle!

I am going to go see my green-eyed doctor when I get back to Atlanta and beg him for klonopin. I need some relaxation! I am way too stressed for someone with as few responsibilities as I have. If I know myself at all, that's probably what's stressing me out, which is ridiculous! I need to just chill out and keep doing what I need to do.

I feel very, very tender right now. I feel like I could be crushed any second now, so it's probably good that I'm getting out of town and spending time in a healthy family environment.

I finished recording that treatise on nutrition for the nursing school today-what a relief! Now I can learn more obscure medical terms that neither I nor the students will ever remember, about another topic! Yay!

I made Daniel and myself some black bean quesadillas w/hot salsa verde for dinner tonight. We drank limeade, too. It was good!
