My apartment is so clean! I've finally discovered the most productive way to channel all my sexual energy-do what I'm supposed to be doing anyway!
Seriously, though, the whole apartment is now organized and dust-free. It's an ugly thing to be home alone for the weekend, but I chose my lot. It's not like I have money to do anything, either.
I'm going to watch 28 Days Later a second time, because enraged zombies and hot British boys rock.
Today is also catch-up day with my Atlanta homies. Holli's daugher has to have ear surgery, Briana's going to quit her job (she has been saying this for months now), Sabra is working way too long at the clinic but she loves her new house. Hector's job is going well. My mom says all the animals are doing well, even old Caramel. I can't wait until next weekend, when I get to spend all my time with my babies. It will be the best thing ever to be home.
It's Saturday night, people. Go shake your asses!

Song of the day:
CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)
Yeah, you got satin shoes
Yeah, you got plastic boots
Y'all got cocaine eyes
Yeah, you got speed-freak jive
Can't you hear me knockin' on your window
Can't you hear me knockin' on your door
Can't you hear me knockin' down your dirty street, yeah
Help me baby, ain't no stranger
Help me baby, ain't no stranger
Help me baby, ain't no stranger
Can't you hear me knockin', ahh, are you safe asleep?
Can't you hear me knockin', yeah, down the gas light street, now
Can't you hear me knockin', yeah, throw me down the keys
Alright now
Hear me ringing big bell tolls
Hear me singing soft and low
I've been begging on my knees
I've been kickin', help me please
Hear me prowlin'
I'm gonna take you down
Hear me growlin'
Yeah, I've got flatted feet now, now, now, now
Hear me howlin'
And all, all around your street now
Hear me knockin'
And all, all around your town
yeah!

Rice was pretty damn cheap, actually, especially considering how good it supposedly is. And it had a beautiful campus in the middle of the shithole that is Houston. Doesn't Houston suck? Honestly, it grew on me, but only after I'd been there for a few years. Sewage-smelling strip mall. Oh, but there is so much good food in Houston! I loved that... I don't know if you eat fish, but if you haven't been to Good Company Seafood, you are missing out.

Yes, The Mortgaged Heart stories, superb. She's my favourite writer hands down. I always feel like I've been told a huge private secret after I've read her work, even if I've read it a hundred times before. The end of 'The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter' still gets to me.
