I had a lovely week:
Monday night, dinner w/a friend at my favorite Indian/Chinese place in Jackson Heights. Fresh hot naan and basmati rice with cilantro and spicy chicken tikka masala is great when it's snowing outside.
Tuesday/Wednesday worked hard and stayed home like a good girl.
Thursday saw Milk with a good friend and had drinks at a couple of bars. Didn't get any sleep but had fun.
Friday felt like falling asleep all day but managed to have steak tacos and white sangria and go movie shopping with a friend. It was the perfect end to a nasty day at work and helped me sleep like a baby.
Saturday celebrated a vet's birthday at work with insane cupcakes from Crumbs. He's everyone's favorite to work with and was all embarrassed that we celebrated, which was cute. Some of my favorite dogs came in: Owen, the sweetest corgi I've ever met; Rufus, the most awesome gigantic golden retriever that loves to pull his own leash; Oscar, the tiniest and most well-behaved teacup poodle puppy, and a new patient to our practice, a black greyhound named Tully (I have a soft spot for greyhounds since I used to work with lots of rescued former race dogs in Atlanta).
Last night I went dancing and saw the hot professor. I even confessed that it's my nickname for him, and predictably, he loved it.
"We were so lucky to have been raised amongst catalogs."
