This is hilarious: stuff white people like.
School's fantastic. I'm so happy my break is over...I was missing school hardcore. I made lots of good food and tried to paint a bit, but the best part was a night out dancing with a good girlfriend. I needed that! I also got to see The Diving Bell and The Butterfly, which was one of the most moving films I've ever seen, In Bruges (not as funny as I thought it'd be, but more interesting), and Lust, Caution. I love Tony Leung, don't get me wrong, but the sex scenes were really twisted (literally as well as metaphorically), even for me. I think Julian Schnabel did an amazing job with The Diving Bell and The Butterfly. It's my new favorite. I also got to catch up with one of my dearest friends, which was a great way to end the week.
I'm seeing a really sweet boy. He's Taiwanese, from Texas, speaks Mandarin, and used to be teacher. He's in grad school now, in a medical-related field, which is perfect. So far so good. It's just really unusual for me, in a good way, to be seeing someone without some horribly complicated situation going on or that I'm not into just for the sex. I like him.
I've made all kinds of good food lately: spinach lasagna with homemade tomato sauce, cauliflower steaks with mushroom gravy, sweet potato casserole, and broccolini, spaghetti and chicken meatballs, blueberry pie, and brownies with coconut and pecans. I really had the most fun with that barbecue sauce, though-it was a hit.
Spring is here. We're still getting those lovely cold snaps that give everyone the sniffles, but it's here!
