The prospect of animals mourning makes me sad, too. When I lived on farm, we would always keep the older, slower horses together in a separate herd, so they wouldn't be injured by the young rowdy ones. This old gelding and mare became a "couple" and spent all their time together. Whenever they were separated it was the saddest thing...all the whinnying and frantic "searching" along the paddock fence.
Anyways, don't be sad now! You got your ring back and it won't be long until you're with your boy again, far from the madding waterfowl.

I tend to do my dishes right after I dirty them. I have this guilty conscience thing, that tells me "You can't relax until those are done"-of course, this only stands true for dishes, and none of my other cleaning responsibilities.
