Acacia Update: The rollercoaster continues. Last weekend she was released from the ICU. She was removed from all breathing apparatus and was able to breath first through her trach and later through her nose. The trach was plugged and she began to talk. Yeah, I'll be volunteering myself as company for my friend undergoing chemo since she celebrates the holiday. I'm more of a Winter Solstice kind of girl, myself. Congrats again on NaNo! I'm starting a sequel to Evangeline since I've already had a few requests to do so. As for the hair, it's too chilly to chop, anyway.

Acacia Update: She is out of ICU and getting a little bit stronger every day. Things are looking up!
Anyway, the Novel writing is going quite well. I am convinced the novel sucks pretty bad, but the goal is to get it all out there and then edit it, so so far so good. I should reach my word goal in three days or so....

I tend to get bored with things once I get good at them, hence my being a jack of all trades and a master of none, so I understand how you feel
I still maintain that New Orleans is a great place to live, but you'd have to learn not to call us "Yanks". I can envision that not working out well

Acacia Update: Acacia continues to improve. She is off the ventilator. She is now on a B-Pap machine. As I understand it, it is a mask with pressurized oxygen that helps her breath on her own through her trache. She is moving off the ICU. Considering that doctors were saying that she would be there for months this is great news.

Acacia Update:[\b] Thursday night she died but she was revived. Things looked very bleak. There was talk of opening her chest and doing some exploration as the doctors could not figure out why the lungs continue to not function even though there are no signs of rejection. On Friday, she rebounded once more. There is no rejection and there is no sign of any kind...

Acacia Update: One stop forward 20 back this time. She is back where it began. Both lungs have now collapsed. She is back on dialysis and will likely go back on the breathing machine. Maybe she has already. She is also back in a medical induced comma. It is not looking good.

Re sports: Tribal. Reliant on winning, regardless of skill or style or joy; the final numbers are all that count. Which is why I am not a fan.
