Got my hand mauled rescuing a couple of young feral cats. No complaints- it was worth it. Now I just have to convince them humans are not so bad... *sigh*.

My parents are both taking sabbaticals this semester. For the most part I love my job but right now I wish I'd become an academic instead. I need a break and unfortunately there is just no way I can take one.

I could never be an Academic. I had a hard enough time passing classes, I can't imagine how hard it would be to teach them. Sabbaticals would be nice though.

Things are finally back to normal at work. I should probably be concerned that things have gotten a little slow but instead I am going to enjoy it and next week take a 5 day weekend. I honestly don't remember the last time I took any time off. It's going to be nice.

My bookkeeper suddenly quit without notice last week. So now, in addition to all of my other work, I am doing all of her work until I can hire someone new. I've started dreaming about numbers.
