Sorry I have been gone so long.. I have missed you so much!.. My curent romatic situation .. is not "suicide girl" friendly and would rather I never looked at the site.. now you may ask yourself.. why would you stay in a relationship that restrains you so?... or you may not, but I am.. .. anyway.. just wanted to say Hi.. and send hugs... hope all is well with you.. I will try to catch up, but I am at work.. and don't know how this would fly with the boss.. alththough I have a hunch
I've already made one donation to the Humane Society to help them in the rescue & rehabilitation of domesticated animals that were injured in this mess.
We have close to 1,000 evacuees here in Phoenix at the Veteran's Memorial Colliseum. They've set up a warehouse through Goodwill to accept donations of toiletries & other items the evacuees will probably need. I haven't gone there yet but I plan on doing so before the week is over, since I've taken this week off from work. There are also supposed to be about 800 evacuees brought to Tucson, AZ this week. I also heard that several will be going to Lubbock, TX, where some of my family members & family friends live. This relief effort is going to take a lot of dedication & hard work from volunteers too. I may try to volunteer in the coming weeks locally for those evacuees. Every little bit will help!
"Time and space are extensions of the mind. The will. Which means that infinity is a purely local phenomenon. You can turn over a stone and find it crawling there. Or you can make it yourself out of whatever materials are at hand."
I didn't know 'Dark Horse' was from Portland! I was going to ask you if you thought it was a worthwhile place to visit, as Anton in 'Dig' didn't seem impressed at all.
Hello, lovely lass! Time has prevented me from posting here proper but, better late than...later, non? I was doubly reminded to pay you a visit as I'd convinced someone to begin reading the His Dark Materials series... They were ably agreeable to the task but, with you as back-up, they wouldn't have had a word in edge-wise.
I have this week off from work and am trying to use some of it to fire off e-mails to friends in need of one...I'd thought of adding you to the list. So, expect something soon beloved Stari spinner.
Objects and events can only become 'hallowed' if they are observed and contemplated. The more you dwell on these things the greater their objectivity and relevence in the mind of someone living and observing. We create this world and can only make relevant what we catalogue and regard as relevant. Those unnoticed occourances are essential but can never become beautiful as beauty is an applied human subjectivity. To create beauty you MUST observe and document those events that inspire beauty within you. Once installed in your mind you can pass on the noitons of beauty to other people, thus making the things observed more beautiful.
I always loved Bill Hicks' bit on the need to squeegee one's third eye! I went back and reread my last e-mail to you and guffawed at my four-in-the-morning spelling.
Up the close and down the stair,
In the house with Burke and Hare.
Burke's the butcher, Hare's the thief,
Knox, the boy who buys the beef.
Burke and Hare,
Fell down the stair,
With a body in a box,
Going to visit Dr. Knox.

Fear not Stari, I'm purging my system for greater good. Once I say my final goodbyes to my equipment I will be receiving a laptop software based system to record, create and perform anywhere; free from the shakle of office chair and bad view.
It's all taking a long time but I'll post my first track round here somewhere and you'll be the first to know about it.
Keep enjoing the sky and well done on your choice of Meat Beat Manifesto.
You know Stari, I think you'd love the Glastonury festival; I expect you'd spent your time in The Green Fields and never see any bands. It's so inspiring in there.
I finally saw one of the bands you mentioned ages ago: Dresden Dolls. They were amazing.
"There are only two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle, The other is as though everything is a miracle. I believe in the latter."
-- Albert Einstein
There are three kinds of violence: one, through our deeds; two, through our words; and three, through our thoughts. The root of all violence is in the world of thoughts, and that is why training the mind is so important.
I'm the sort of person who feels it - who climbs inside
I think we are all conduits of this energy - our lizard brain taking and giving this flight or fight animal undercurrent
I think the energy is to be shaped into creativity - although the shape of emotion is too often distorted into theologies of confusion

I've read a book by Eknath Easwaran - on meditation. A practice I'm conscious of, but don't implement
-This is the teaching of Yoga-
-Yoga is the cessation of the turnings of thought-
-When thought ceases the spirit stands in its true identity as observor to the world-
-Otherwise the observor identifies with the turnings of thought-
