I love The Office, but despite being so funny it can also be extremely painful to watch. Oddly enough, however, all the depressing moments in the series lent it an aura of realism that made the happy ending feel like a credible conclusion (one that wouldn't be out of place in the real world). A moment to contemplate how pathetic it is to depend on...

I think part of your problem with college might actually be that whole "socializing a bit" thing.
I go out of my way to never have any kind of human contact at school and it works out pretty well.

if you think therapy could help you in any way shape or form, you should do it. don't worry about what your parents thing. and in all seriousness unless you tell them i don't really see how they could find out anyways.

I dunno I liked Ant's look. Of course (and I'm ashamed to admit it) I'm totally faghagging for Ant. "If he were only straight . . ." too bad.

I was probably happiest for Jani, but that's just me.

A few days ago, I checked out a guy without really thinking about it. It seemed to make him really uncomfortable and, when his friend wanted to sit at the cafeteria table in front of me, the guy objected. I left at that point because I didn't want to cause any trouble and I was kind of embarrassed.

Anyway, at least now he knows what...

I had hoped that my writing skills (or at least my confidence in them) would've improved enough for me to write an entire paragraph without feeling the need to delete it immediately upon completion. It was a pretty irrational thought, in retrospect. You don't improve by ignoring the problem. Nonetheless, I'm slightly bummed (it's not a big deal).

P.S. Not fishing for compliments. robot

I had fun last night with Soiralle and her friend Rita. It's good to be socializing.

Course, now the semester's started and I have to start doing stuff! The horror!

I'm afraid to contact my academic advisor, but I'm sure I'll get to it soon. Soonish? Frankly, I'm afraid she's gonna yell at me and smack me upside the head with a book. I would...

Well, thier parents are probably floating, too. A lot of people in New Orleans are too poor to leave-- no car, no money to rent one or take a train-- or unable to comprehend how dangerous this storm was going to be. And some of those parents are just dumb as pigeon shit, I suppose.

Moved in on Saturday. Dad drove me here, helped me move my stuff in, got me bed sheets and some other stuff. He stayed overnight until Sunday. We got in a fight because I didn't want to go to the complex's pool party and he did. Apparently I didn't want to go to it with him because the way he acts in public is the...

tonight i have to work until 10 then im going to a concert. do you like juliana theory?
cairo:
No. I haven't been afraid to die since I was very young, and when I woke up today, my belief that there is no such thing as "the end" came right back. I've always believed that existence is eternal. Seriously, the absolute terror I felt in that dream was completely new to me.

I wish my dad would leave so I could get acclimated to my situation at my leisure, but it'd be rude to tell him to go and he is just trying to help (albeit in an overbearing sort of way).

Sigh.

In the "Favorite Books" list, are the "Starman Books" you're talking about the ones with Jack Knight?
Because I love those.
